Diary, July 1775-October, 1776, of a sergeant, promoted to lieutenant reporting on serivce outside of Boston with Colonel William Thompson's Battalion of Riflemen (later the 1st regiment of the Continental Army), and on the Battle of Long Island with the 1st Regiment of the Pennsylvania line in the Continental Service.
